I just don't understand the "OMG, GH on the Wii!" reactions, since most of us, if not all of us, probably also own a ps2/3 or xbox360. You can, but it makes you look like a fucking idiot, since the game ships with more content than the ps2 version and has the promise of future DLC. So, aside from people who only own a 360, there's likely to be zero reason to buy the 360 version, no? I don't expect we'll see any unique/different controls. The point is, despite Nintendo's anti-piracy policy of not being able to run executables from the SD card, there's no need for executables to download new content. But it's all very easy and the Wii doesn't have any particular restrictions to make it impossible. Obviously they would have to program the game with that feature in mind, including the ability to save the data for new songs in your existing GH3 save file. As far as I know, the data for the tracklist is locked into the game which is why none of the homemade songs have proper information.Īlso, does anybody else think it would be cool if the DLC packs were each five songs (or six, including encore) that were basically a new tier and had some kind of bonus like a new guitar when you finish them? A couple MP3s for the various music layers, and some arbitrary data file that lists the location of the frets. Is it actually that easy? I'd be damned impressed if it was.
